“To thine own self be true…” - William Shakespeare Step One to Begin Loving Yourself Hey, your enough! That’s the message, that’s the gist but let’s dig deeper. What’s the root of all misery? Self doubt? Intrusive thoughts? Self Criticism? The constant fear of not being perfect? Before you say, it your right! I’ve felt all these things myself on numerous occasions. I would love to say do this or do that and guarantee immediate bliss but it’s a journey and process we all must go through to reach our full potential. Here’s the first step by MyKayla Arnold, influencer and owner of Flourish The Culture, to guide you on your journey to self love and acceptance from within! THROW AWAY THE PURSUIT OF PERFECTION! Do you constantly criticize your body, jokingly make statements in reference to negativity about your features, daily actions and behavior ? Do you have a constant cycle of break less torture toward yourself in your head? Here’s some food for thought, RELAX. Take a deep deep breath and let it out, BLOW! Let those thoughts surface. Thank your mind for recognizing those fears, now face them head on! Resisting and bottling up fears give way for them to continue pursuit! Now before you say it I know, it’s easier said than done! But remember this is a journey… Embrace the present space your mind, body and soul resides in. Now that you’ve embraced it you can certainly change it! The only way to your greatest version of yourself is through the lowest versions of your present self. Now keep going! Take it day by day, week by week.. Moving anywhere fast requires some slowing down to progress in the right direction effectively. That’s the essence of truly FLOURISHING!
